Every Step You Take Is One They Won’t Have To

Strong Women Strong World Next Gen invites you to join us, from wherever you are, on May 16th for the World Vision Global 6K for Water

Whether you join from the treadmill or your favorite trail, the neighborhood or the track… we’ll join thousands of others around the world to walk, jog, or stroller-run our way to 6K on May 16, to bring life-changing clean water to those who need it most.

The Issue

  • Nearly 1,000 children under the age of 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene.

  • The average distance that many women and children walk for water in the developing world is 6K (3.7 mi.).

We believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes. $50 provides clean water to one person and when you register for this event, every dollar will go to World Vision. As the largest non governmental provider of clean water, World Vision reaches one new person with clean water every 10 seconds.

It’s Virtual - here’s how to join us!

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will not be meeting together for the race but instead we are going to participate from our own locations.

This is international event organized by World Vision requires a $50 registration fee, however we realize that many people are struggling financially right now and may not be able to donate that amount. Strong Women Strong World (SWSW) next gen is offering a sliding scale registration fee for our 6K so everyone who wants to participate can - any amount or nothing at all is okay. By participating in the SWSW next gen 6k, your donation of any amount will go directly toward the two wells that SWSW next gen is building in Zambia.

We thank you in advance for helping up provide clean water to the people of Zambia!
